Biography of Shan Tang

Shan Tang received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (2011) and PhD in Chemical Biology (2016) from Tsinghua University under the supervision of Professor Lei Liu. She then joined Professor Jason W. Chin group at Medical Research Council Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK as a postdoctoral fellow. She began her independent career as a professor in Division of Life Sciences and Medicine at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2022. Her research interests focus on developing new chemical tools to identify the abnormal function of enzymes, and developing synthetic biologics for targeted cancer treatment.
