Biography of Rui Wang

Rui Wang, PhD, is Assistant Researcher at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL). Dr. Rui Wang obtained her Ph.D. in Department of Chemistry, the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2016 (Supervisor: Prof. Jiang Xia). She performed her postdoctoral joint training with Prof. Ruijun Tian at the Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) and Prof. Shawn Li at the Western University (UWO) in London, Canada and continued her training with Prof. Liang Zhang in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, the City University of Hong Kong. In 2020, she joined Pingshan translational medicine center, SZBL to start her independent career in the chemoproteomic filed. She has focused on the cationic salt-based residue-specific (cysteine, lysine, and histidine, etc.) chemoproteomic tools to characterize the tunable-reactive warheads and the cellular mechanisms of cancers for short-chain lysine acylations.
